Hi! I’m Mk. I write books for kids. 

I’ve been an educator for over 15 years, mostly working in special education. These days, I teach K-6 art and spend the rest of my time making books and visiting schools across the country.

I grew up by the ocean in New Jersey, but now live by a river in Western Massachusetts with my family and lots of plants and animals.

When I’m not reading, writing, or teaching, I’m likely elbow-deep in yarn, dirt, or cake batter.
